The tread ribs on the distinctive Barum Vanis tread pattern are made up of tread blocks which interlock, thereby combining the advantages of both ribbed and blocked patterns. As they interlock, the tread blocks form rigid, solid tread ribs which provide outstanding benefits in terms of wear, handling and braking on dry roads. At the same time, the interlocking tread blocks offer many lug edges which, in conjunction with the specially designed sipe system, ensure safe driving on wet roads.
